Etchings and Woodcuts at Gallery K, Oslo, from 25 March – 30 April. Participates in the group exhibition Norwegian Events ’95 in Dublin: An Exhibition by Eight Norwegian Artists, at the Royal Hibernian Academy of Arts Gallagher Gallery, from 31 August – 30 September. Fellow exhibitors include Elena Engelsen, Ida Lorentzen, Odd Nerdrum, Per Ung, Jakob Weidemann and Morten Krogvold. The accompanying catalogue has a foreword by Jan Østern, Norway Ambassador and an introductory essay by Hans Jacob-Brun, Director of the Astrup Fearnley Museum, Oslo. Awarded the Royal Norwegian Order of St Olav, in the Rank of Knight First Class.
1998
Completes the commission for the monumental three-part decorative glass frieze Arcadia, and Horse and Rider glass sculpture for Pier West and Terminal 2 at Copenhagen’s new Kastrup Airport, produced in association with Per Steen Hebsgaard.
Produces a series of monumental, painted ceramic ‘Urns’ at Tommerup Bygningskeramik, Denmark.
Holds four one-man exhibitions in Norway.
1999
One-man exhibition Paintings, Gallery K, Oslo, from 9 April to 2 May
One-man exhibition of Glass at the National Glass Centre, Sunderland, part of the Visions Norway Festival, from 9 October – 5 January. Northumbria University purchases four glass figures for the new Coach Lane Campus.
2000
7 September, awarded the Anders Jahres Culture Prize (300,000 kroner), and sculpture by Nils Aas (1933 – 2004).

2001
Unveiling of a 5.14 metre high ceramic ‘Urn’ in Moss, Norway. Produced with 10 tons of clay at Tommerup Ceramic Shop at Fyn, Denmark. Paintings in HM Queen Sonja’s Collection are exhibited at the Henie Onstad Art Centre, Hovikodden, from 30 June – 9 September. One-man exhibition Paintings at Asbaek Gallery, Copenhagen, from 4 – 27 October.

70th Anniversary
Major Retrospective exhibition at Trondheim Museum of Art. One-man celebratory exhibitions in Oslo. Piano Nobile, London, includes watercolours at Art London stand from 9 – 13 June.
